Plus Size Prom Dresses – with sleeves

So at this time of year, many of you are looking for plus size prom dresses and one of the most popular styles are plus size prom dresses with sleeves. I guess this is because many of us hate showing off our upper arms, or as I remember, I was quite self conscious of my size when I was younger and preferred to be a bit more covered up. I wanted to look great but at the same time I didn’t want to draw attention to the bits of my body that I wasn’t so keen on myself. Infact at my senior prom a wore a wrap which my best friend fashioned into a shrug, it went across my shoulders then under my arms and was fastened with a blinging brooch at the back. This meant that it stayed in place all night and I didn’t have to keep tight hold of it, to stop it slipping on my shoulders. My best friend had a similar version, but because the fabric her wrap was made from was much thinner, she just knotted it at the back.

Once upon a time every woman about town had an evening coat. But these days how easy is it to find plus size evening coats. Not as easy as you would think. I myself had this difficulty last year, when I was invited to attend a formal ball on a cold New York winter evening. At the time I just had to use my trusty long black wool coat and added a velvet scarf for a little panache. I felt a little like Calamity Jane in the scene where she arrives at the dance in an old army coat to reveal her fabulous frock underneath. Let’s keep looking at ways that you can buy plus size wear that is right on trend and also has those designer touches. So what exactly does it mean, ‘Plus Size For Women‘? If you were to take a look in any fashion or beauty magazine then you would be led to believe that any woman who wears a size 8 or upwards would be thought to be plus size.
